Here emerges a brand new young talent, Victor Silva a.k.a. Lil Vicious. A nine-year old break dancer with fresh athletic moves and cool swagger. He practices his sets in NBK Studio every week in Downtown Jersey City. With the help of his mentors from NBK Studio, he has been able to refine his moves and sharpen his style. If you see him dance, you can feel his passion for breaking through his dancing. His dancing demonstrates a great deal of skill and potential in becoming one of the top Bboys in the future. I have had the privilege to interview him and getting some insight on his thoughts on breakdancing, school, practice, and inspiration.

Victor has been breaking for a couple of years and continues to get better all the time. He enters competition in the east coast regularly and engages in numerous dancing performances. He enjoys skating in his free time and loves eating popcorn. He is working on balancing his time properly between school and breakdancing.

Summer Classic Event at Union Square

I hope everyone's enjoyig their summer. Here's an event coming up by the end of July. Bring your radios and have fun in the sun during Friday afternoon to this summer classic setting event.

Remember what Union Square was like? Dancers from different disciplines would get down, exchange and build with one another. This is how we carry each other, inspire each other to go higher and keep the dance alive. We got our permit so no one can shut us down. Come out and jam, watch and support!

We've added a new category of 32 people for 1 on 1 House
Registration starts at 2:00pm and battle starts at 4:30pm sharp! So come early and come prepared to give your best!

We are also celebrating women at this Kings of New York. We'll honor Evelyn Santos, Miss Twist, Violet (Kr3t), Peaches, and Marjorie for their contributions to the community.

Art Showcase Battle

About 4 months ago, i participated in an art showcase battle for one of my crew member in her school. I just got the footage today from another family crew member and I wanted to share it to everyone. I guess art does come in just about any form. something that is "limitless". on this particular subject, I believe the artist is trying to capture the movements on the ground. ever heard the quote: "the floor is my canvas, and my body is the brush"...hehe..not sure if thats the exact term...somewhat close I guess this is close to the idea.
