Where Do You Stand?

How familiar are people nowadays with the current political system?

Bills are being signed into law such as NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) with zero coverage from media. How important is it to become aware of the political world?

Below are some questions to keep in mind while you view the video regarding political awareness:

Do we care about ending the endless wars, fiscal crisis, policing the world, learning about the Federal Reserve and inflation?

How many people are aware of the debt this country is currently holding?

Do we really care about the upholding of the Constitution or has it merely become insignificant?

Is it important nowadays to have self-awareness before involving ourselves to any issues?

Do we bother to look at our history so we can learn to avoid making the same mistake from the past?
How well do we listen to our soldiers to what they're saying or are we just too fast in saying that we support the troops?

Do we look at the long-term effect of our involvement in international conflicts and how it might affect other people?

How well do we know about the NDAA? How about those GOP candidates? What is your opinion on Obama's presidency? Who is Ron Paul? Does anybody care about the election anymore or did majority of the people gave up on the broken system we have in the United States?

Have we lost the sense of self-responsibility and became dependent to the government to have them interfere with our social lives?

Has politics and religion become the neutral subject that many people avoid to discuss?

Have we fallen deep into the media's bias coverage and lies that we can't even acknowledge facts anymore? How do we deal with issues objectively without making decisions based on emotions?

Have most people traded our freedom for security?

Conducting interviews in Jersey City area regarding politics was an awakening experience. It is interesting to see how people interpret and understand certain issues in politics. As adults, it is wise to educate ourselves and keep an open mind before jumping to conclusion too quickly prior to getting all the facts. Communication and acceptance are two important components in the learning process that we should consider.

Activist Poetry Slams in the Heights

Poetry Slams in the Heights

Slideshow Picture Click Here

Poetry is a unique tool that allows writers to channel thoughts into words in expressing views, emotions, beliefs, and life experiences. It is also a powerful forum in showcasing the importance of freedom of speech.

Emotions released by the poets were passionate and honest, as some words were spoken with anger as these poets fully invested their souls into their poetry.

The topic mainly focused on the current state of our economy, government, world issues, rights of the people and the truths left out by the mainstream media.

Arts were also displayed by local artists such Dru Cruz, Marukh, Angel Perez, Ruler, Ramsey Oh, Coalition of Activists, Jamie O' hara.

The Activist Poetry Slam 2 were organized in collaboration with the JCPM.org, Truth-Media.info, WearechangeNewJersey.com, and WeareChangeNYC.org.

Is College a Scam?

While browsing for some guitar lesson videos, I came across this clip about College supposedly being the biggest Scam in the history.
I personally don't think College is a scam. I don't think people were brainwashed from the beginning when schools started in the past. I believe everyone started with clean conscience and positive purpose. Then somewhere down the road behind the curtain of our history, someone was able to manipulate the education system.
After watching this Clip, I have to admit, they did have a lot of valid evidence and good points that suddenly connected with what I experienced about 7 years ago making me feel like I was victimized of the unknown scheme.

It seems like everything the government touches, try to solve and get involved with always fails. Should there be some type of restraint with our government interfering in our society. We should have a free market, Education not run by government, and less interference with our private lives.
What ever happened to our Constitutional Beliefs? Did we just followed some numbers and disregarded the rest?
The society is Changing as we all know, I really don't want to see people wake up when it's too late to realize.

Former President Corazon C. Aquino Dies, (January 25, 1933 – August 1, 2009)

She was the president of the Philippines from 1986 - 1992. The 11th president of the the country and asia's first female president. She was installed as the next leader by the peaceful 1986 "People Power Revolution".
She was held as "woman of the year" by the TIME magazine in 1987.
It was a Very sad news today in the philippines.
Cory Aquino Died at the age of 76 from a cardio respiratory arrest.
Found out the news through my dad who's almost always updated with the news in Philippines.
She is one of the biggest influence and had impacted not just the homeland but the World as well and shaped History during her time.
I don't remember much back then since I was little at the time she was a president and all the political activities that was going on in Philippines. I do remember my parents and relatives getting involved though. I remember seeing the picture where my sister was carrying me on her shoulders during the edsa revolution. I don't have the picture since it's in the Philippines. I was a year old and a couple months or something..(I was walking already..lol).
And as time pass by, I learned more about the history and its importance.

Prayers and many thanks to "CORY"
Salamat.
